Comet ISON, C/2012 S1 (ISON) - Quick Reference For Busy Folks

Updated and expanded September 2 with new content & images. A cut-to-the-chase, mainly in bullet-point form, quick and handy Reference Guide to Comet ISON, C/2012 S1 (ISON) – hopefully the ‘great comet of 2013’ and maybe even the ‘comet of the century’. This Reference Guide is explicitly geared towards those that are always busy in today’s helter-skelter world. This ‘Pocket’ Guide sets out to provide the time-challenged with all they want to know about ISON (plus a tad more) in quick-fire mode – with pinpoint navigation, hard to miss section headers and highlighted keywords. This Guide is also aimed at those that want access to detailed information about ISON from a small-screen mobile device. So, the formatting of this book and the number of images included have been kept to a minimum to permit easy, conducive perusal on a smart phone or a small pad. Think of it, in a way, as an ISON APP for mobile devices. It is a Guide meant to be tucked away inside a mobile reader for repeated consultation as the comet starts to become naked eye visible around October 2013. For those that want additional information on C/2012 S1 (ISON), an expanded, 54,000 word, 189 Kindle page version of this Guide is available on Amazon as: ‘Comet ISON, C/2012 S1 (ISON) - The Great Comet of 2013’ [ASIN: B00CB1OEZI]. As the Table of Contents (accessible via ‘Look Inside’) will attest, this quick Reference Guide deals with every facet of ISON that would be of interest to an ‘amateur’ whether it be: origin, dimensions, discovery, discovery timeline, dates, name, classification, distances, brightness, characteristics, other ‘greats’ etc. Per the author’s ‘trademark’ there are considerable comparisons with other comets for context and cometary trivia for added spice. The author intends to regularly revise the Kindle version, with free updates, to keep this Guide as up to date as possible as ISON hurtles towards the Sun. The book is likely to contain some ‘typos’ when it comes to spelling and grammar. As many ‘typos’ will be fixed in each Kindle
