An Accidental Tourist: A Caribbean Misadventure: Ten Countries, No Cruise Ships Allowed

Ignoring the usual cruise ship option, Jason Smart visits the Caribbean by air. Utilising the services of much-maligned Liat Airlines, he hops between the islands. Starting in Barbados and ending in Suriname, Jason Smart's latest light-hearted travelogue takes in the beauty, nature and history of ten independent Caribbean nations, focusing upon their capital cities. He observes hummingbirds in Trinidad, visits a Hollywood film set in St Vincent, witnesses a beating in St Lucia, walks around an old slave market in St Kitts, is almost rained out in Antigua, and sees hurricane damage in Dominica. His trip almost ends in disaster in Georgetown, Guyana, when he ends up in a downtown hospital. Caribbean Island Hopping sees Jason Smart visit Barbados, Trinidad, Grenada, St Vincent, St Lucia, Antigua, St Kitts, Dominica, Guyana and Suriname.
