Why Sex Workers' Babies Need More Than Daycare | Saving Moses Podcast Ep. 22

Paglalarawan

You might have heard about the Somali daycare controversy — government-funded programs under scrutiny for fraud, questions about whether they're even real. But while that debate plays out in the U.S., we're running something entirely different on the other side of the world. It's called NightCare. And it's for babies and toddlers whose moms work in the sex industry in Bangladesh, India, and Cambodia. In this episode, Sarah shares what NightCare actually looks like — bath every night, age-appropriate play zones, healthy meals, story time, and the birth certificates we help secure so these little ones are recognized as citizens. Without NightCare, 8 out of 10 moms say their baby is on the bed with them while they work. For $38 a month, we're changing that. In the U.S., daycare averages $1,000/month per child. Our NightCare centers — privately funded, no government grants, no UNICEF support — serve hundreds of babies and toddlers every single night. The zero-to-five years are everything. What goes in is what comes out.
