THIS is the Most Important Parenting Question | Rich Griffith

Paglalarawan

On this episode of Focus on the Family with Jim Daly, Rich Griffith shares a powerful shift that can transform the way you parent: instead of asking, “What do you want to do?” the better question is, “Who do you want to be?” Through his experience as an adoptive father and leadership expert, Rich explains how this one question reframes everything—from discipline and communication to trust, identity, and faith formation. When parents focus on who their child is becoming, they move from control to connection and from behavior management to true discipleship. In this video you'll learn: 🔹 Why “Who is my child becoming?” is the most important parenting question 🔹 How focusing on character changes the way you discipline and lead 🔹 Moving from “cop” parenting to coaching and counseling your kids 🔹 Building trust so your children come to you in difficult moments 🔹 How to model faith in everyday life so it sticks long-term Get your copy of Rich Griffith's book, "Discipleship is Leadership" here: https://bit.ly/4ets1gq --- Chapters: 00:00 – The Wrong Question Parents Ask 02:32 – The Urgency of Foster Care & Stepping In 05:17 – Building Trust and Safe Communication 08:25 – Understanding Parenting Stages & Discipleship 13:12 – Early Development, Faith, and Formation 19:06 – Raising Character in Ages 6–12 25:13 – From “Cop” to Coach Parenting 33:02 – Leading Teens Through Trust, Failure, and Faith --- Check out Focus on the Family on social media!
