The Work of Christmas is a luminous modern choral piece that brings Howard Thurman’s moving text to life through Dan Forrest’s elegant musical setting. The poem reflects on what happens after the rejoicing of Christmas — calling each of us to continue Christ’s mission through acts of love, justice, and compassion. Forrest’s music captures this message with stirring harmonies and gentle reverence, reminding listeners that the true spirit of Christmas begins when we serve others. Recorded live by the Sunday 7pm Choir at St. Francis de Sales Parish in Ajax, ON Canada. When the song of the angels is stilled, When the star in the sky is gone, When the kings and princes are home, When the shepherds are back with their flock, The work of Christmas begins. #TheWorkOfChristmas #DanForrest #HowardThurman #Sunday7pmChoir #SacredChoralMusic Thanks for watching the videoThe Work of Christmas | Dan Forrest | Sung by Sunday 7pm Choir (Live at St. Francis de Sales Parish)
