May Allah (ﷻ) reward him abundantly! Our Ramadan series was recorded at Al-Mujadilah Center and Mosque for Women in Doha, Qatar! ======== In this episode, Dr. Sh. Haifaa Younis shares the powerful story of Khawlah bint Thaʿlabah رضي الله عنها, the woman whose complaint was heard by Allah ﷻ and recorded in the Qur’an. When her husband used the pre-Islamic practice of ẓihār, Khawlah went to the Prophet ﷺ seeking justice. She continued pleading her case and turning to Allah ﷻ for help. Allah ﷻ responded by revealing the opening verses of Surah Al-Mujadilah, beginning with the powerful words: “Allah has certainly heard the speech of the woman who argues with you concerning her husband…” Her story reminds us that no voice is too small to reach Allah. Even when others may not hear us, Allah hears every complaint, every prayer, and every whisper of the heart. Through this story we learn: • Allah hears every plea and every duʿāʾ • The importance of seeking justice with patience and faith • How Islam corrected harmful pre-Islamic practices • The power of perseverance in turning to Allah • The honor given to women whose voices stood for truth Khawlah bint Thaʿlabah رضي الله عنها became a powerful example of faith, patience, and courage. Her story teaches us that turning to Allah with sincerity can change circumstances and bring divine justice.
