The Prophet ﷺ (may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said: “Do not talk too much without remembering and mentioning Allah, for too much talk without mentioning Allah hardens the heart, and the person farthest from Allah is the one with a hard heart.” (Tirmidhi) Allah says in surah al-baqarah, Therefore remember Me, I will remember you, and be thankful to Me, and do not be ungrateful to Me. What honour, what benevolence and compassion! Allah Almighty, in all His greatness and glory, exchanges these sentiments on an equal level with His humble servants. What grace and generosity!
