As part of our continuous exploration into the future of work, we dive deep into the ultimate final frontier: the space economy. What does a real 25-year roadmap look like for sustainable space stations, asteroid mining, and human settlement?Build Your Personal Brand: https://www.muzamilhasan.com/Taqwa Observatory: https://www.taqwaspaceobservatory.com/Hasaan's Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/hasaan_mohsin_/My Instagram: https://instagram.com/muzamilhasanMy LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/muzamilhasan/Welcome back to a brand-new episode of Thought Behind Things. As part of our comprehensive look into technological evolution, today we shift our focus from AI automation to a completely different type of macroeconomic transformation: the emergence of the commercial space industry.Using first-principles thinking, we unpack a highly realistic 25-year roadmap. We look at what happens when the International Space Station officially retires, how the private sector is stepping in to launch independent space networks, and how upcoming initiatives are shifting the definition of the modern professional. From planetary geology and space-based architecture to specialized logistics, the upcoming cosmic ecosystem is set to generate thousands of specialized, high-value global careers.Today, I am joined by Hassan Mohsin, a 22-year-old astrophysics graduate and research student at the International Institute for Astronautical Sciences. Hassan shares his firsthand experience training for suborbital flight simulations, testing space suits, and running science payloads in zero gravity—all while navigating the global market under a primary Pakistani passport. If you want an honest, data-backed analysis of where the commercial space highway is actually heading, this conversation is an absolute must-watch.
