Locked In and Left to Burn: The Final Moments of 16 Utumishi Girls Before the Fire Took Everything

Paglalarawan

On the night of May 27th, 2026, while Kenya slept, a dormitory at Utumishi Girls Academy in Gilgil burst into flames — and the exits were locked. 16 schoolgirls are dead. 79 injured. 7 fighting for their lives. Tonight we reconstruct, minute by minute, the final hours of 16 girls who never made it out — and ask the question nobody in State House wants answered: who locked those doors, and why does this keep happening? Full timeline, survivor accounts, political reactions, and the pattern of negligence that has become a Kenyan tradition.
