How Saving Moses is Funded | Saving Moses Podcast Ep. 24

Paglalarawan

Everyone asks Sarah the same question: "Where do you get your money?" In this episode, Sarah pulls back the curtain on how Saving Moses is funded — from the early days of big, unpredictable donations to building a steady base of nearly 2,000 monthly donors called Heroes. She shares the story behind the $100,000 commitment she made before Saving Moses even had a website, the unexpected phone call that changed everything, and why $38 a month has become the backbone of consistent care for babies and toddlers around the world. Sarah also addresses the USAID cuts — and why Saving Moses was never dependent on federal funding to begin with — while being honest about the real impact those cuts have on the communities they serve. In this episode: - The origin story: a toddler named Angelina in Angola and the promise that started it all - Why big donations alone can't sustain a 24/7 humanitarian mission - What a "Hero" is — and why monthly giving is the most powerful thing you can do - The funding challenges of the past 1–2 years and how the team is diversifying - New initiatives: donor dinners, grants, foundations, and yes — pickleball tournaments Saving Moses saves babies every day — where the need is most urgent and care is least available.
