In a time when many people are rethinking traditional career paths and looking toward sustainable wealth creation, one inspiring story is unfolding right here in Ghana. In this video, we explore the journey of a retired former World Bank professional who has traded boardrooms for farmland—proving that it’s never too late to build something extraordinary. What started as a bold move into agriculture has now grown into a diversified farming enterprise. Beyond cultivating dragon fruit on just half an acre, he also manages over 70 acres of mango farm, alongside vegetables and passion fruit. His philosophy is simple but powerful: every smart farmer must diversify. Dragon fruit, one of his standout crops, is an exotic fruit with rising demand in Ghana and across Africa. Though capital intensive at the start, it offers high returns, requires relatively low maintenance, and thrives well under the right conditions. Combined with other crops, it becomes part of a resilient and profitable farming system. In this interview, he shares practical insights into startup costs, challenges, and the mindset required to succeed in modern agribusiness. His story highlights the importance of thinking long-term, maximizing land use, and building multiple income streams through farming. This is more than just agriculture—it’s about vision, reinvention, and unlocking the full potential of Ghana’s land. 🌱 Could diversified farming be the key to wealth in Ghana?
