HAIM: Countdown To I quit (with Kesha)

“When you are okay with yourself, it’s the most empowering thing.” No, thankfully, HAIM are not quitting music. They are, however, saying “I quit” to negative self-talk, overthinking, and anything that no longer serves them. To Este, Danielle and Alana,  “I quit” is a mantra—a playful but empowering motto borrowed from the cult-classic film, That Thing You Do. This is a personal rallying cry—a reminder to let go of old patterns and step boldly into their truest selves.  Far from calling it quits, the sisters are locked in and thriving on their fourth studio album—sounding more nostalgic, free and unapologetically honest than ever. With production by Danielle and longtime collaborator Rostam, the trio say they’ve finally nailed the sound they’ve been chasing for years. There’s nowhere better to celebrate this moment than the iconic Dresden in the Los Feliz neighborhood of LA—the same spot where That Thing You Do was filmed and where Danielle rang in her 30th birthday with a bang. That’s where HAIM meet up with a lifelong best friend: none other than Kesha. (Yes, HAIM and Kesha have been besties since way before the fame.) What follows is a joyful, open-hearted conversation between four women who’ve seen it all together. They swap stories about sneaking into shows in LA, lifting each other up, achieving their dream sound and concluding that: “parties change lives.” Presave I quit on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/prerelease/17zf7IjtUccx1ZvlLLX4lp?si=5c790d7d6ee74653 Listen to HAIM on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/4Ui2kfOqGujY81UcPrb5KE?si=dJMCP49-RUCTq1C7axg0bg Listen to Kesha on Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/6LqNN22kT3074XbTVUrhzX?si=TuB2JEZWQJSpcBgliQCVfA Learn more about your ad choices.
