From Broke Comedian to Viral Disruptor: The Florida Man Story

Everyone talks about confidence. Very few talk about fear. In this episode of BILF Pod, Sean Madden opens up about the parts of comedy people don’t see: • Moving to NYC broke and unsure • Being hesitant to even start open mics • Hating when the camera is on him • Turning rejection into material • Why confidence isn’t ego — it’s repetition • Why everything changed when he stopped caring what people thought This isn’t a highlight reel. It’s the in-between. The bartending shifts. The doubt before the mic. The internal battle between “What if I fail?” and “What if I don’t try?” Sean breaks down how cringe is temporary — but regret isn’t. How rejection sharpens you. And how freedom begins the moment you stop performing for approval. If you’ve ever hesitated to start… If you’ve ever been scared to look stupid… If you’ve ever felt stuck between comfort and growth… This conversation is for you.
