This week on Flashcast, we break down three major stories shaping the future of AI governance and leadership. Flashcast is Knowledge Netowork's daily AI newsbite series — cutting through the hype to spotlight the AI stories that actually matter: the shifts in governance, business, policy, security, and global power that are shaping the future in real time. We touch upon how Cisco acquires Astrix Security to strengthen protection around AI agents and non-human identities — a sign that enterprises are preparing for a future where autonomous AI systems become operational actors inside organizations. And NASA, alongside IBM, deploys the Prithvi AI model into orbit, marking the first-ever AI deployment in space and opening entirely new conversations around autonomy, oversight, and global AI standards, amongst other highlights in the latest on AI news.
