12 Through the Magic Door | Final chapter | ACD heaping praise upon Robert Louis Stevenson

Paglalarawan

Arthur Conan Doyle draws this excellent tour to a close with some considered praise of Robert Louis Stevenson, especially referring to his extraordinary style. We end with the words of Stevenson's self penned epitaph: Under the wide and starry sky, Dig the grave and let me lie. Glad did I live and gladly die, And I laid me down with a will This be the verse you grave for me: Here he lies where he longed to be; Home is the sailor, home from sea, And the hunter home from the hill. What a splendid bit of writing! What a marvellous thing it would be to visit Stevenson's grave in the South Seas! Has anyone done it? Anyway, thank you so much for listening. Consider subscribing if you haven't already done so. Cheers Greg
