ZAHAU: Inside the Whale

The Rebecca Zahau case is one of the most bizarre high-profile homicide cases. It is more holes than fabric. For example, why are there no cell phone records of Adam Shacknai? Why was his girlfriend – whom he supposedly called on the night of the incident – not interviewed? Why are there no cell phone records for Dina Shacknai? Why is there so much mystery surrounding the final call and final message left on Rebecca’s phone? Why was it erased and who erased it? Was Rebecca’s cell phone ever examined for fingerprints? Why it was never established what the blunt object was that caused four blows on Rebecca Zahau’s head? There’s also tremendous uncertainty regarding Rebecca Zahau’s time of death. Was it 01:00 [within ten minutes of that final, erased voicemail], or two hours later? If she was killed at 03:00, what transpired for two whole hours and who was involved? If there was a long period of torture and sexual assault, how come no DNA was found at the crime scene? INSIDE THE WHALE attempts to invert this net of nothing into a bag filled with cats.Read more
