UNDER SUSPICION: The Meredith Kercher Murder Mystery

In the third ground-breaking book in their series on Amanda Knox, Wilson and van der Leek have done it again! In UNDER SUSPICION they dig out brand new insights that others have overlooked eight years after the original trial. Using powerful detective tools including pattern recognition, graphology, systematic cross-referencing and good-old deep analysis, the SHAKEDOWN TEAM do what they’re supposed to do – they deliver the goods. Effectively our knowledge of what really happened that November 1st night in Italy has taken a real step forward thanks to the insights in this book. In UNDER SUSPICION, in true Sherlock Holmes fashion, for the first time explanations are offered for why Amanda Knox’s DNA wasn’t [and shouldn’t be] found in Meredith’s bedroom. Major insights include: - The prison guard Angela Antonelli’s observations of Amanda Knox over two years at Capanne prison - What did all three defendants have in common [this is going to blow your socks off] - The reliability of the defense’s star witness, Jovana Popovic [who claimed she encountered Knox and Sollecito at Sollecito’s apartment] - Why does Amanda make eight separate and contradictory statements in the week following Meredith’s murder, and how and why are they inconsistent? - Why did ‘Honor Bound’ Raffaele Sollecito claim in his November 5th statement – hours before their arrest - that Amanda went to Le Chic on November 1st? - Was Patrick Lumumba about to fire Amanda, and if so, why, and who did he intend to hire in Amanda’s place just 24 hours before Meredith’s murder? - What were Meredith’s last spoken words to Amanda minutes, perhaps moments before her death? - Who stole Meredith’s rent money and why? - What did Patrick know about Meredith? Other major themes visited in this narrative are the impact [if any] of the occult on one of the most grotesque crimes to ever occur in Perugia. The possible involvement [or complicity] of Knox’s and Sollecito’s families are examined, along with the inability of both Knox and Sollecito to adapt to prison life an
