Ivan Dorn

Ivan Dorn is a Ukrainian singer, songwriter, producer, musician, and actor whose work has profoundly shaped the sound and spirit of post-Soviet pop culture. His breakthrough came with the platinum-selling debut album Co’n’dorn, now considered a cult classic and a defining moment for a generation seeking freedom and new aesthetics in music. Launching his solo career in 2011, Dorn instantly became a phenomenon with the viral hit “Stytsaman,” which marked a shift in how music from Eastern Europe could sound and feel — ironic, stylish, global, and unapologetically free. Since then, he has continuously reinvented himself — experimenting with sound, performance, and visual language, and pushing the boundaries of pop and electronic music far beyond regional trends. More than a musician, Dorn has become a cultural catalyst — influencing a wide spectrum of artists across Ukraine, Russia, and the broader post-Soviet space. Known for his self-irony, honesty, and provocative openness, Ivan Dorn often goes against the grain — sparking conversations about social taboos, identity, ecology, and the limits of normality. His live performances with Dornabanda are intense, improvisational experiences — a fusion of funk, house, jazz, and experimental pop. Each show becomes a spontaneous ritual of joy and liberation, where the audience is not just watching, but participating in the creative act itself.
