HANNASTOWN: The Final Battle of the American Revolution

HANNASTOWN The Final Battle of the American RevolutionThe war may be over in the east, but on the Western Frontier, the bloodiest chapter has just begun. It is the brutal summer of 1782. While politicians negotiate peace, the Pennsylvania frontier is locked in a vicious territorial war fueled by ancient blood debts. Hannastown, the isolated county seat and last bastion of American law before the wild Ohio territory, stands exposed and alone. Its wooden courthouse, a promise of permanence, is now a target.A devastating force—a combined army of Seneca, Wyandot, and British Rangers —is marshaled under the cunning leadership of Chief Guyasuta and Captain Caldwell. Their objective is clear: burn Hannastown to the ground, cripple the frontier's capacity to govern itself, and send a message of fire all the way to Fort Pitt.Inside the fragile Fort Reed stockade, Continental Captain Andrew Miller clings to military protocol while scout Elias returns with a horrifying truth: an army is coming, and the town is built of dry wood that his orders will not save. As the fire consumes the settlement on July 13th , the fate of the frontier rests not on the courage of soldiers, but on the tenacious spirit of ordinary settlers—led by the practical Elizabeth Trent —and the desperate, ruthless action of one scout determined to save the captives and the community that has nowhere left to run.Hannastown is the gripping story of a few desperate hours where civilization breaks down, and survival depends on the ferocity of the wild.Read more
