Finish That Thing: A FAST Method to the Madness of Actually Completing Your Book

Have you started a book and then gotten caught in this endless spiral of rewriting, revising, and re-analyzing the same pages over and over without making any forward progress?Or have you taken a deep breath and screamed through the white-knuckle race of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month), and then finished out November feeling like a mummified fruit that’s been run over by a truck? And your book STILL isn’t finished? The MOST frequent question I get is “How do you find it in you to keep going to the end?” And people who ask me this don’t want an answer like “Just keep writing, no matter what!” They want practical answers from someone who has been there.I graduated college with an English degree. That was 11 years ago. But even before that—and in my writing career since—I have figured out THE MOST effective way to start and FINISH a novel. I’ve done it more than 30 times. I want YOU to be able to do the same, and be satisfied with your completed project. This is a quick read, and I KNOW it will be helpful to those of you writers who feel stuck in an eternal rut, and are looking for something different that they haven't tried yet to shake them up!Read more
