Beyond the Rain

A.J. Caputa is a hard working, single mother to her four year old daughter, Emilie. With her little girl by her side she thought she had everything she could ever need- a good job, great family, close friends. And then she met Sam. Sam turned her life upside down, without even trying, when A.J. discovered the feelings she had for this amazing woman were feelings she never knew were possible. Raised in a conservative Christian family, being gay simply wasn't an option. It was taboo and it was a lifestyle for "those people". Faced with feelings completely foreign to her, A.J. must make the ultimate decision in her life. Come out and live life as a gay woman or remain in the life that's familiar and acceptable. And if she chooses to be true to herself, how will that affect her relationship with her daughter, her family, and God? Will the dark closet she's hidden in for so long keep her safe or will it end up suffocating her? Beyond the Rain explores the deepest depths of fear from her own to that of her family in a way that's honest, humble, and heart wrenching.Read more
