The Untold Lore of Jesse Rutherford (The NBHD)

الوصف

Welcome back to Nicky at Night! This week we had the opportunity to sit down with Jesse Rutherford from @TheNBHD . I can remember when their first album came out back in 2013, and listening to Sweater Weather for the first time in highschool. Now over 10 years later, that song has become the #3 most streamed song on all of Spotify. What's interested me so much about the NBHD, is they are this time capsule of the various stages of the Music Industry's relationship with the internet. Starting in the Myspace & Tumblr Era, into the peak of the Youtube Music Video Era, and then seeing their music absolutely EXPLODE again on Tiktok0:00 - Intro1:25 - How did The NBHD meet?3:08 - Myspace & Tumblr Era of Music6:59 - Tiktok's Impact on Music7:48 - Band Culture10:00 - Sweater Weather13:00 - Relationships17:13 - "Getting the Band back together"22:47 - Ultrasound40:00 - Jesse's Music Recs#jesserutherford #theneighbourhood #musicinterview
