The San Guillermo Parish Church, known as the Sunken Church of Bacolor, was buried in lahar and volcanic ash after the 1991 eruption of Mount Pinatubo. Only the top part of the church remains visible today, turning it into a powerful symbol of faith and resilience in Pampanga.
