الوصف

In the early hours of June 8, 2005, six innocent Nigerian youths, Augustina Arebun, Ifeanyi Ozor, Chinedu Meniru, Anthony Nwokike, Paulinus Joseph Ogbonna, and Ekene Isaac Mgbe, were gruesomely murdered by people whose job it is to protect them, men of the Nigerian Police Force. Ibrahim Danjuma, who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Abuja, at the time, killed four of the youths and ordered the execution of the remaining two. After committing such a heinous crime, not only did Ibrahim Danjuma walk free, but he also got a double promotion. The 6 youths would later be referred to as the Apo six. Decades after the youths were murdered, Nigeria still remains plagued by police brutality and extrajudicial killings.
