Live from Wimbledon - Draw puts Serena, Swiatek on collision course

الوصف

Catherine, David and Matt were Live at Wimbledon for the first time in 2026 to dissect the singles draws which were made on Friday, headlined by Serena Williams’ return to tennis. In part one, we discuss what it was like during the draw as we waited for Serena’s name, whether first round opponent Maya Joint counts as a good draw, and how far she might go, including a possible round three clash with Iga Swiatek. There’s also chat about potentially difficult paths for Aryna Sabalenka, Mirra Andreeva and Amanda Anisimova. And why do we have a hunch about Jessica Pegula this fortnight? Moving on the men’s draw in part two (34:48), there’s reaction to Jannik Sinner and Novak Djokovic being in the same half, a blockbuster round one between Taylor Fritz and Jack Draper, and a land of opportunity in the bottom half. We also talk about a moving experience watching the new documentary Chris and Martina: The Final Set. For ad-free listening and bonus content, Become a Friend.
