I Finally Made It to Bhutan 🇧🇹 | Everest Views, Endless Food, Sacred Art & My First Day Welcome to Day 1 of my Bhutan travel vlog series, where I explore the country over 10 nights and 11 days with Breathe Bhutan, experiencing Bhutanese culture, food, landscapes, and daily life from the ground up. This vlog kicks off with a spectacular early-morning flight from Bangkok, departing at 6am — and honestly, it’s one of the most scenic flights I’ve ever taken. From my seat on the left side of the plane, I was lucky enough to see Mount Everest and Kanchenjunga rising above the clouds. An absolutely breathtaking way to arrive in Bhutan. I land at Paro International Airport, often described as one of the world’s most challenging airports, and I’m greeted by my guide Sonam and the incredible crew who’ll be with me throughout the journey — Rattu, Parbati, and God (our driver). Our first stop is Tiger’s Nest Camp, where I’ll be staying the night. The camp offers stunning views overlooking Tiger’s Nest Monastery — a place we’ll hike to in Day 2. I give you a full tour of the camp and my glamping pod… including a brief moment where I accidentally walk into someone else’s pod. Oops 😅 After a coffee and a quick reset, it’s time for my first taste of Bhutanese food — and wow. Lunch at Pel Diner is a full buffet of flavours, and I even get the chance to interview the owner, who explains the dishes and what makes Bhutanese cuisine so unique. Next, we head to the Sand Mandala Display Center in Paro. If you’ve never heard of a sand mandala, don’t worry — I break it all down in the vlog and even get hands-on trying it myself, learning about its deep spiritual and Buddhist significance. To loosen the legs before tomorrow’s big hike, we finish the day with the Zuri Dzong Hike, a scenic one-hour walk with sweeping views over Paro Valley. The hike ends perfectly with a high tea at COMO Uma Paro, which feels like a real treat after a full day. The day wraps up with another Bhutanese buffet dinner back at the camp before settling in
