Hi bravehearts! Welcome to episode 7! 💖 And this might be the last one for this season as I’m taking a break.I caught up with a friend and as I was sharing her my story, she suggested I share this on my platforms. I said I do but not in detail, avoiding that people will remember me for what happened to me as I was labeled that way before. And it struck me when she said, it’s not about what people might think but more of how there might be people who’ll need to hear my story to find comfort and inspiration from it. So here we go! Special thanks to my friend Danessa, for encouraging me. This episode was a lot to unpack! It wasn’t just merely telling my story and sharing wisdom, but it was also a flashback of how far I am not from what happened and how long and difficult the healing journey was, but I survived. I am immensely grateful for the support and love I had back then when I was coping - my family, my faith in God and friends I still remember to this day who were important to my healing. My sharing is not of unhealed wounds, I am at a much better state and place right now and I am very happy and grateful that it happened. It was bound to happen. I was redirected to a better path, because I can’t imagine reaching where I am now if I allowed myself to be stuck in that. Hear the story of my heartbreak - what happened in detail, how I coped, what was healing like for me, what did I do to heal, etc. Take what resonates with you. I know each person has different capacities and timelines. So take what resonates, be kind, patient and compassionate towards yourself. You’ll get there.
