Episode 31: Is There No Puff-Puff in Heaven?

الوصف

This episode starts with us discussing the Michael movie —well, the 20 minutes Uzor actually stayed awake for—before he reveals the big news: his parents have finally discovered the podcast after 16 months of "Hannah Montana" living! Things quickly get chaotic when KP shares the story of accidentally eating a "spiked" cake and having to survive a full family photoshoot while fighting for his life while still blaming Uzor for not warning him properly. From there, we call out KP for becoming the exact type of gym content creator he once complained about after his weight loss journey, before getting into debates around kissing parents or kids on the lips and the strange culture of Nigerian stand-up comedy shows constantly turning into public fundraising events. We also unpack relationship discourse surrounding Megan & Klay and Indiyah & Dami, highlighting how people usually side with whoever they already like in the relationship regardless of the actual situation. The episode wraps up with some truly wild takes and nostalgia as KP drops his conspiracy theory about Megan being a CIA agent, which somehow leads us into conversations about American Black prom culture, where society may have “gone wrong,” and memories of our own Nigerian prom experiences. We also touch on Nigerian stan culture and how intense fan behavior can get online, making this episode a hilarious mix of chaos, hot takes, and pure gist.Join the Community:Join the conversation using #IGGFY and #IGetGistForYou, and follow us on Instagram and X @igetgistforyou.Hosts: @KpFawehinmi @uzxrmaIf you enjoyed the gist, please leave a rating on Spotify or Apple Podcasts, subscribe on YouTube, and share this episode with a friend!
