Malacañang says it respects the Senate's decision to choose Sherwin Gatchalian as president pro tempore and acting Senate president following the ouster of Alan Peter Cayetano. President Bongbong Marcos had called on senators to "get back to work," warning that the leadership deadlock was paralyzing the legislative agenda and throwing the chamber into "disarray."
