At a press conference on Saturday, B.C. health officials say one of four Canadians isolating after returning from the MV Hondius cruise ship has tested presumptively positive for the Andes strain of hantavirus. The patient, a Yukoner in their 70s, developed mild symptoms and remains in hospital in stable condition while confirmatory testing is completed. Officials say strict infection control measures are in place and there is no additional risk to the public.
