The Last Resistance

Scott Connolly, a soldier, arrives home to his wife and kids after two years of service outside the country. He was getting to bond with his kids when Aliens invaded Earth. Scott was among the many people who lost their families to the Alien invasion. He fought back against the Aliens and was captured. He was put in cryo-sleep to wake up half a century later and discover that the world he once knew was no more, and he was now a super-soldier, with a metal arm. Circumstances led him to be introduced to a freedom-fighting group called the Last Resistance, and with them, he sought to avenge his family by bringing down the intimidating Alien Empire.
