North to Wrigley: End of the Summer Road

Climbers climb because the mountain is there. In this compelling account, the author undertakes a 3,750-mile journey on a single-cylinder motorcycle for much the same reason. And can he make it home?North to Wrigley: End of the Summer Roadis half travelogue, half repair manual, half endurance test, half autobiography—and perhaps a quarter philosophic dabbling. There might even be a chuckle or two! Though adding up to well over a whole, the extra weight doesn’t seem to throw the author too far off his at times precarious balance. If you’re looking for a motorcycle memoir that’s a bit more than that, this might be just the one.
