Desperation

Jacob Mason had it all. He was rich. He had a beautiful wife, wonderful kids, and perfect health. But in one day that all comes crashing down. He loses everything. His businesses fail. He is involved in public scandal. His wife leaves him for his best friend. His son dies. His daughter is in a coma. Then he develops a rare disease that has no cure or treatment. Ultimately he loses his grasp on reality. As he frantically tries to find the answers to all this he is continually tormented by everyone that crosses his path. There is no rest for him. A court full of people watches his every move and judges him without his knowledge. Will he escape? Will he find the answers to the questions he so desperately seeks? His accuser is relentless, but Joseph appears to defend the defenseless. Will he pass the test? Will he overcome his insurmountable obstacles? If you loved The Matrix and Vanilla Sky you will love Desperation. Be warned. If you start reading this book make sure you allow enough time to finish it because you won't want to put it down. Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster that jars you back and forth and makes you question everything you have ever believed to be true. If you have ever wondered why bad things happen to good people. If you have ever wondered why God allows needless suffering of the innocent. If you have ever felt like there is no justice in the world then you need to read this book.Read more
