Broken Ice: A Vampire Spy Thriller

Mina Barrett is the CIA’s best defense against the Dominion. She’s young, charming, intelligent, motivated… and she’s a vampire.Twenty years ago, vampires revealed themselves to the world. Society hadn’t expected them to be real at all, much less a species entirely separate from humans. The government feared hostile foreign powers would also seek to exploit their psychic talents, and put out a call for recruitment. After a childhood spent in isolation, Mina saw a chance for adventure and signed on the dotted line. Unlike the Dominion, she doesn’t feel humans are inferior creatures and works to stop others of her kind from enslaving them.A deep cover asset discovers information that vampires want to keep out of human hands. The CIA sends Mina in to bring him—and his information—out alive. But the Dominion has their sights set on the secrets buried for centuries beneath a Siberian glacier… secrets that could reshape the world. What Readers are saying:★★★★★ “So enjoyable! I’m always looking for something lighter and fun, especially in these days of so much hatred and anger; this story wassogood. A lot of parts really got me laughing. What an imagination these authors have, and must emphasize their exceptional talent. Really, reallyenjoyed this and can’t recommend it enough. Great job!” —Amazon review★★★★★ “Never a bad book! I really enjoy the collaborations of Rain and Cox. I have read so many of their co-written and solo books that they are like putting on old slippers. The way they vary their storylines and characters makes me wonder how they outline and interconnect their worlds. Love all the books. I will continue to read all you produce!” —Amazon review★★★★★ “The story is a nice mix of urban fantasy themes but does not get mired in the same old boring vampire tropes. Yes, this is a vampire book, but it brings enough new and/or underused ideas to the table that it is refreshing. The character development is well done, and we get a good insight into the main characters. The main character, Mina, is working as a CIA
