True Crime: 4 True American Crime Stories: Vol 3 (From police files of the 1920s to the 1950s)

*ALSO AVAILABLE AS PART OF A BOX SET* Do you like true crime stories? You should love these tales then Originally authentic police files, True American Crime Stories are from the 1920s through to the 1950s - the era of gangster, molls and prohibition. Almost (but not quite), lost in the mists of time, these tales romp along with plenty of action and recreate the atmosphere of this exciting and dangerous era using the vernacular of the times. You may not have heard much about some of these bad guys, but they were real, ruthless hoodlums and all had their "15 minutes of fame", leaving trails of death and mayhem behind them. Most did not live to an old age, and those that did were probably in jail. Their escapades were daring and reckless and many paid the ultimate price in the end. Volume 3 contains: "Pretty Boy" Floyd - The Baby Faced Killer When the gates of the Missouri State Penitentiary clanged open one day in March 1929, out stepped a handsome 22 year old guy who vowed never to return. Under the nick name of "Pretty Boy" he carved himself a blood spattered career which electrified America and could eventually only end one way. Jack "Legs" Diamond Brought up in the misery and squalor of Hell's Kitchen, Jack "Legs" Diamond became one of ganglands most ruthless and vicious members and for a while led what seemed a charmed life - all bad things come to an end though.... Waxey Gordon Petty thief, hoodlum, pickpocket, he started life as plain Irving Wexler, but as "Waxey Gordon" climbed the ranks of thugdom to become king of New Yorks underworld. His ambiton and greed attracted the attention of the same guys who brought Capone to justice - no contest. Machine Gun Kelly Easy going George thought he was doing OK, but the fateful night in 1927 he met Kathy Shannon changed his future for ever. Her ambition and goading, plus her idea to arm him with the gun he was named after, took them from bootlegging to bank robbery, kidnapping and jail. Order your copy today!
