Trial By Firebird

InTrial By Firebird, you’ll meet Kate Adrasteia and Kane Mang.Kate is a second-generation Firebird—a rare type of immortal. All immortals were born at the dawn of the universe when it was spoken into existence, but Firebirds? They were forged from the Creator's eternal fire, making them the only true immortals, incapable of dying. If a Firebird is killed, they are simply reborn as a baby from their own flames.Kate has an older brother, a younger brother, and a much younger sister. Her parents are absent, but her worst trait? She hashorrendoustaste in mates. In her prior life, she bonded with aLawfuldemon, had a son with him… and then he murdered her. Ever since her Remembrance at age twelve—when Firebirds begin recalling their past lives—Kate has been on a relentless search for her son. And as for her ex? Let’s just say he has an expiration date he doesn’t know about yet.Kane Mang is the eldest of twelve siblings, born in Ancient China. His first-generation parents—one a European dragon, the other an African snake—gave rise to the Chinese dragons. As the eldest, Kane has spent lifetimes wrangling his eleven chaotic siblings, keeping them alive, mostly out of trouble, and frequently feeling like he’s supervising a band of unruly teenagers.Throughout history, Kane and his siblings have served as mercenaries. In recent years, he founded Mang Security, a highly reputable protection company. When Kate’s brother hires them to deal with a rogue demon infestation, Kane finally crosses paths with his soulmate. And nothing—not fate, not her stubbornness, not even Kate herself—is going to stop him from bonding their souls.Join Kate and Kane on a journey that spans the globe, where they’ll be joined by family, friends, and a handful ofhighlyquestionable acquaintances.Read more
