The Cornerpost

Being crazy rich is one thing. Pretending to be poor in the fancy town of LaPorte, Texas, is altogether different. After all, a sailor cannot spend what he does not earn. THE CORNERPOST, final installment of THE CANARY trilogy, presents huge challenges to Myra and Marguerite, who need to get it through their husbands’ thick skulls that they are done doing without, and a spending plan better be forthcoming. Building the Galveston seawall after the hurricane of 1900 (THE CANARY), brings new opportunities to old friends. Just when all seems well, tragedy strikes, leaving some to mourn and others to rejoice. THE CORNERPOST is the story of break downs, new beginnings, and choices to be made. Will Myra and Marguerite follow their well-worn path or turn at that corner post?Read more
