The 7 Habits of Clyde Tombaugh

The 7 Habits of Clyde Tombaugh: How a Farm Boy Reached for the StarsLong before he discovered Pluto, Clyde Tombaugh was just a boy on a farm in Kansas, staring up at the night sky with big dreams and an even bigger work ethic. InThe 7 Habits of Clyde Tombaugh, young readers will discover how an ordinary boy, armed with determination, curiosity, and integrity, overcame obstacles to achieve something extraordinary.Clyde didn’t come from wealth or privilege—he came from a world of hard work, where chores started before sunrise, and opportunities were few. But instead of waiting for success to come to him, Clyde practiced the principles of personal growth that would later be calledThe 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. He was proactive in learning on his own, set clear goals for his future, and put first things first by making education a priority—even when it meant grinding mirrors for his homemade telescope by hand. This inspiring book for young readers not only tells the story of Clyde’s discovery of Pluto but also reveals how his perseverance, self-discipline, and passion for learning can inspire kids today to pursue their own dreams. Sprinkled with lessons from motivational leaders like Zig Ziglar and John Maxwell, as well as wisdom from the Bible,The 7 Habits of Clyde Tombaughteaches children that success isn’t about luck—it’s about character, grit, and never giving up.Perfect for kids who love space, history, and stories of real-life perseverance, this book will encourage young dreamers to reach for the stars—just like Clyde did.Read more
