Refractions[english]

Humanity has established its first extra-solar colony, Bethesda, a thriving settlement of thousands. But something has gone terribly wrong - the colony has fallen silent, cutting off all communication with Earth. Enter Nathalie Hart, who joins the New Horizons interstellar rescue expedition, hoping to escape the crushing guilt of her sister's death. But her mission takes an ominous turn when she's prematurely awakened from cryo-sleep. As alarms blare and smoke fills the corridors of the ship, Nathalie finds herself unexpectedly thrust into command of a crew of strangers, each harboring their own hidden agendas. The discovery of a threatening message in her cabin - written in a language only she can understand - confirms her worst fears: someone aboard the rescue ship is determined to sabotage their mission and keep Bethesda's secrets buried. With Earth a distant memory and betrayal lurking around every corner, Nathalie must decide who to trust as they race toward the silent colony. But time is running out. Not only do the lives of five thousand colonists hang in the balance, but a deadly secret on Bethesda could threaten everyone back on Earth. The race to uncover the truth will test not just Nathalie's leadership, but her ability to confront the very demons she thought she'd left behind on Earth.
