Osorio's Onslaught: A Reporter's Confrontation

A cub reporter is sent to a Latin American country where he once taught English. It was during an era of a military junta with a firmly entrenched dictatorship. Now the country is free and experiencing a renaissance in progressive development. The former exiled poet Federico Osorio, a beloved and respected figure, is the current president. His only major prose work, published prior to assuming the highest office of the land, is an alleged expose of the strange liaison between a revolutionary firebrand and a dictatorial general. The resulting book poses more questions than answers. With the assistance of his award-winning investigative correspondent husband and two friends he involves along the way, our protagonist stumbles onto evidence of a plot far more sinister than the original purpose of his assignment. Information culled from a ravishing ex-model as well as an eccentric diaper-wearing tycoon lend zaniness to the narrative.OSORIO'S ONSALUGHT is a political thriller unlike any other: intrigue combined with tender, often confrontational male/male romance. You'll ask yourself: are there really good guys vs. bad guys in the world, or just bad guys vs. worse guys anymore?(The hard cover and paperback versions contain many photos and illustrations)Read more
