Last Long Ride: A Journey of Adventure, Freedom, and Love Ends Where It All Began

In this final volume of his Journey America trilogy, Filipe Masetti Leite completes his odyssey across the Americas.Traveling from Fairbanks, Alaska, back to where it all began at the Calgary Stampede. He returns with the indomitable Clara by his side and two new horses, wild Smokey and big Mac.Facing down death, punishing weather, unforgiving terrain, bloodthirsty insects, and carnivorous beasts (sometimes threegrizzlies a day!) while navigating a global pandemic, it is the people he meets who give this story life and meaning. Filipe deals with the good, the bad, the kind, the cruel, and everything in between. In his three Long Rides across two continents, Filipe grew from boy to man, from student to cowboy to hero to icon, only to fall into the abyss of depression and loss as he faced the howling winds of a burning Patagonia. But with determination and cowboy grit, he rose to become the youngest person in recorded history to cross the Americas on horseback. He has lived his dream and then some.Hop in the saddle and enjoy the ride.Read more
