Kahlan’s Destiny: Married to Mafia Lord

Kahlan's innocent life takes an unexpected turn when she is married away to a powerful mafia lord, Belmont. Stripped of her freedom and forced into submission, she becomes a pawn for Belmont's growth in power and influence. Desperate to escape, she flees hoping to find freedom and find her brother, Mike but Belmont captures her before she escapes. Belmont's former love, Ada, resurfaces with a desire to reclaim her place in his life. She is hell-bent on destroying the relationship between Belmont and Ada with the help of Belmont's siblings, Rose and Garrick. Unknown to everyone, a spy assuming the identity of a chef poisons Belmont and eliminates him. However, Kahlan saves Belmont just in time from the spy. Belmont is deeply perplexed by Kahlan's courage to save him. The tension between Kahlan and Belmont begins to vanish, and they begin to have feelings for each other but they both try to deny and suppress their feelings. Will Kahlan have an easy life now?
