Girl Who Ate Lightning

“She’s just a baby,” Hanzo whispered. “How can something so small carry so much darkness?” Two centuries ago, The Lotus was formed in Japan to fight demons and yokai in secret. But now, supernatural threats are rising everywhere and in Ghana, a lightning-eyed baby girl is found at the center of it all. Raised within The Lotus, Ashanti grows up feeling like an outsider, yet trains harder than anyone to silence the darkness within her. Now fifteen, she is thrown into a deadly bride selection trial meant to kill. With her powers awakening and political games unfolding, Ashanti must fight not just for survival, but for a purpose no one told her she had. She was born to be a weapon. But what if she was meant to be something more? Can a girl the world was ready to sacrifice become the one who saves it? To know more, listen to "Girl Who Ate Lightning" only on Pocket FM!
