The Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer/Questioning (LGBTQI+) bars, drinking and dancing establishments were not just party scenes but were really sanctuaries for that community. As a matter of fact, many people in the LGBTQI+ community treated these happy places as second homes or even primary homes if their families were close minded towards the community.
