This book seeks to show the reader that ‘new life’ is new in quality and capacity, not just new in time and that a sixth need, blessedness, should be added to William Glasser’s Choice Theory so that a more complete view of human functioning can be understood. The human soul needs a ‘felt’ relationship with God, through Jesus Christ, in order to function as God designed it. Blessedness is a real human need. Thomas Traherne, a 17th century pastor, theologian, and philosopher helps us to understand this need and how to bring it to reality in our lives.
