Devil Cries Stones

The gripping true story of Tina Soctoy, held captive as a young girl as part of a Secret Russian Military plot to develop brutal child warriors, continues in Devil Cries Stones.“I've ended up in another world, and this world is becoming mine forever. Resting against the wide, dark-blue door frame, I look at the clay surface of the ground, covered with pebbles near the staircase. I’m becoming unafraid. A strange feeling crops up, of entering into another life. My parents are far, far away from me now. I don’t even know what they’re like, they’re that far away. My memory can no longer retain their image because there’s too much of everything going on here. And this ‘everything’ is pushing their image out of my head because the fear of not living is stronger. I constantly feel in danger of him grabbing me any minute. Terror obscures absolutely everything, all perception, other worlds.”The toll of the abuse, training, and terror she’s endured has changed Tina into an unrecognizable version of her old self. Her memories of her childhood before her capture fade every day—and new visions begin to grow ever more realistic in her mind. As her captor Sasha and a mysterious expert try to determine the origin of her visions, they are shaken to their core and forced to question whether the young girl they selected and groomed as a harbinger of war is even human at all.Continuing the story of her time spent as a potential child soldier for a top-secret Soviet military operation introduced to the world in The Phenomenon of the Witch: In the House of the Demon, The Devil Cries Stones tracks the transformation from terrified young victim to a supernatural enigma, determined to survive at all costs.Read more
