Booked for Death: A Page-Turning, Small Town Cozy Murder Mystery

Secrets love staying buried in Sweet Cove, North Carolina—but Grace Jordan is about to dig up every last one. When the predictability-loving security analyst leaves her Cleveland apartment to visit her aunt Lyla, she’s reassured that the bookstore murder that recently rocked the town is firmly in the past. Yet Sweet Cove feels off-kilter, from the strange newcomers to Lyla's addition of crystals and psychic readings to her cozy bookshop.Grace barely has time to scoff at the New Orleans medium, Madame LaRue, before a familiar face shows up dead—and her old high school tormentors prove more haunting than any spirit.Alongside Detective Sherwood, his own demons always just a step behind him, and Chuck, the Vietnam vet whose gruff exterior hides unexpected wisdom, Grace’s logic and analytical skills are put to the test. But with multiple, confounding suspects, each clue leads only to more questions as she struggles to piece together the many, including supernatural hints. As Grace’s own life hangs in the balance, she realizes that the darkest truths may be hiding in plain sight—and even the most logical minds can miss what's right before their eyes.Read more
