Blackest Night: A Dog's Story of Life After the Apocalypse (The Dogs of the Spires Book 5)

Betrayed by his own pack, the only path left for a fallen Alpha leads into darkness.Following Flint’s death, Step leaves Solum for fear of being killed for a crime that wasn’t his fault. Before he can formulate a plan of his own, Step is approached by Guardian, who offers an easy way to get rid of Jack for good. As was before, the cost of his services are suspiciously cheap, although the repercussions of this particular deal may prove to be far more damaging than the consequences of not taking it. Meanwhile, back in Solum, tensions are rising as the pack becomes ever more relentless in their hunt for Step. Blood alone will quench their desires, and it is through bloodshed that another dog intends to overthrow the current Alpha, sending Solum into chaos in the process. Soon to face betrayals from the few dogs that he has left and up against an entire pack that wants him dead, Step will ultimately have to turn to the most unlikely savior for assistance.Ignored and unnoticed by all, powerful forces conspire in the shadows of an ever-darkening world. Something big is coming, and the Spirits’ warnings were only the beginning.Read more
