Beyond the Hourglass: An Islamic Perspective on Time Travel

This book offers a unique and profound exploration of time travel. The author begins by challenging our conventional notions of time, the linear and cyclical views we've all become accustomed to. Instead, they propose a unique temporality rooted in something I can only describe as divine. They've laid the groundwork using ancient wisdom and scholarship, inviting us to see time not as a simple progression but as a profound mystery. The book then makes a rather bold leap, daring to confront the modern theories of time travel. The author provides a digestible overview of relativity and quantum mechanics—concepts that are, admittedly, close to my own heart—and the paradoxes they present. But instead of seeing these as insurmountable obstacles, the author uses them as a springboard to offer a completely new framework for their resolution. They present concepts of decree and causality, not as chains that bind us, but as keys to unlocking the secrets of how time travel might be possible. This book is a thought-provoking journey that attempts to reconcile the mysteries of the universe with the timeless truths of faith. It's a grand experiment, and I look forward to seeing where the author's mind takes us.Read more
