Beautiful People

'Funny and insightful' - Irish Independent Sometimes the business of being beautiful can be downright ugly. International model, Anja, from New York City arrives in Ireland to chase down the man she loves. To her surpise, every second girl in Ireland seems to be a model. She moves into a trendy Dublin apartment with Kiva, who is Ireland’s only genuine answer to a supermodel. Then there’s Kathy, the shy and unassuming Galway girl, who has the height and the cheekbones, but lacks confidence. And after modelling, what happens next? Well, ask Zena Spade. Once the darling of the fashion world, she is now washed up at thirty-seven and struggling to pay the basic bills. From bitter experience she knows that in the modelling world, no matter how well you’re doing, there’s a thousand girls behind you, only dying to kick you off your pedestal with their Louboutins. It’s handbags at dawn, Ladies, so keep your friends close – and your enemies closer.Read more
